My Philosophy of Education It is my belief that all students can learn on any

level.

I believe that learning is a two way partnership between the teacher and the student.

In order for a partnership to work, all parties included should meet the requirements expected of them.

Grading Scale 90-100 = A

80-89 = B

70-79 = C

60- 69= D

No grades below 60 will be given

Attendance Policy In order for our teacher/student partnership to work you must

be present and on time ready to engage in learning!

3 tardies equals to 1 absence

Homework

HW is extremely important and I do take it very seriously. Assignments for HW will be given for the week on Mondays

and also any incomplete classwork will be added for HW. HW should be written in your planners according to the day, 2 or more missed HW assignments for the week will result in a

parent call. Students who complete ALL HW assignments for the week will

receive 6 extra credit points on a test and weekend HW pass.

Dress Code

Students should dress in a respectful manner at all times

Boys shirts must be tucked in and pulled up on waist with a belt. No SAGGING!

Girls should not wear revealing tops or bottoms. I expect you to dress appropriately for learning and as

your teacher you can expect me to do the same.

Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to learn.

Respect yourself and others. Raise hand before speaking

Truthfulness is easiness! Try your best and never quit!

Classroom Procedures

Greet your teacher and proceed to your desk quietly.

Begin working on the warm up until teacher says stop.

If you finish your work early read your AR book.

The bell does not dismiss you Ms. Horton does

Consequences

First offense- Verbal Warning and redirection Second offense- Time off preferred activity time Third offense - Parent Call Fourth offense- Removal from class to the principal’s office
