To access CINAHL, click on the icon in the Popular Resources section

Don’t forget to login with your PirateID and Password for off-campus access!

Search for your keywords one at a time, and find the appropriate CINAHL subject heading

• Each CINAHL heading has subheadings to help narrow your search• Major concept = major focus of an article• Explode = all related CINAHL headings

To combine your search terms, check the box to select the terms and then search with AND

If your assignment has requirements, CINAHL has filters to limit your results to peer reviewed

publications or articles published within a certain time range

Click on an article title to view the detailed record which includes an abstract when available.

Click “Cite” in the Tools column to generate a citation of the article – always be sure to check for accuracy!
