FIDM is a specialized, private college dedicated to educating students for the Fashion, Graphics, Interior Design, and Entertainment Industries.

It’s a place where creativity and careers merge. We’re hands-on and industry focused. We’re small enough to know our students’ names, but big enough to have the industry contacts and resources to help them meet their goals.

Tuition & Financial Aid

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How are financial aid funds credited?Aid cannot be paid until the student registers and attends classes. Financial

aid is disbursed/credited on a quarter-to-quarter basis, with the exception of external grants and stipends. Occasionally a student may

have been awarded financial aid and cash payments that exceed tuition and fee expenses. In some instances, funds are not fully

credited until the end of the academic year. These policies are not determined by the college, but by the federal or state government that

issues the funds. Once excess funds are available, a check will be issued to the student.

How do students remain eligible for financial aid?Student are strongly encouraged to review and follow the Satisfactory

Academic Progress guidance in the Student Consumer Information Handbook (available from the Student Financial Services Office). Most

types of aid require the student to maintain at least half-time attendance. A student Financial Services Fiscal Counselor can answer

questions about changes or new requirements. Do financial aid requirements and programs change?

Yes. The federal and state agencies administering these programs can change eligibility requirements or award amounts. The Student

Financial Services staff can answer any questions about changes or new requirements.

Admissions A Unique Approach

to Education Our students want to

embark on their college education and career development simultaneously, and they want choices. Students are accepted into one of our specialized Associate of Arts degree programs packed with 16-25 challenging courses per major. This academic preparation provides students with a foundation of technical, leadership, and strategic skills needed to begin their career from day one.

Career Development is the cornerstone of our education and opportunities for student internships abound. Each program's department, as well as our Career Center staff, works with our incredible industry partners to develop special internships and other part-time employment opportunities for our students to complement their coursework. Many of these internships lead to full-time employment upon graduation.
