FAME: THE MUSICAL

OVERVIEW

You are going to write a new song, !

Then you are going to get it recorded, !

And make a music video for it, !

So that you can generate YouTube views, downloads and streams

THE BRIEF

You will work in a team, !

Your team has been assigned a talented artist or group to work with,

!Your task is to produce content that will make them famous,

!You must work with your artist to create content (song,

video, marketing) that they are happy with

23/9 - FRUKT master class !

30/9 - Dalton Maag master class !

6/10 - Music videos uploaded to YouTube !

15/10 - Album Cover artwork signed off by Dalton Maag !

24/10 - Track available to buy/stream online !

10/11 - Present your results to the judging panel

SKILLS REQUIRED

You will have to write a new song, !

The song must be approved by your artist/group, !

You will need to get the song recorded, !

You will need to blag free time in a recording studio, !

You will need to coordinate time with your artist/group

You will need to come up with an idea for your music video, !

You may need to blag location and props, !

You will need to coordinate time with your artist/group, !

You will need to upload the finished video to YouTube by 9 am on Monday 6th October

SKILLS REQUIRED

You will need to design an album cover for your track, !

The artwork must be signed-off by your artist/group, and by Dalton Maag, by 5 pm on Wednesday 15th October,

!You will use your artwork when you upload your track to

online music aggregators on Friday 24th October, !

You will use your marketing skills to create PR buzz for your artist/group and your track

Successful teams will win their artist/group an invite to perform at a music festival in Summer 2015,
