Reasons why people move up North

• The main reason people move North from Mexico is family.

• More than 40% of people have family in the US, and 60% know of people that moved to the US.

• People move north because their family will not travel back to Mexico. This is because it is hard to travel back and forth because of strict laws that have been made.

Second Main reason:

• The second main reason that people move north is for job opportunities.

• People want to move North to make higher wages than they would in Mexico.

• People do not plan on staying in the United States, but only till they have made enough money for their family.

George W. Bush

• Days before 9/11, George Bush stated that he would make a workers visa for people to be able to come to the US for job opportunities.

• The promise that he made, never seemed to happen because bigger problems came his way.

• People depended and looked forward to the workers visa. This would make it less dangerous for all people to come to the US. Less people would immigrate because their families could come back home.
