Hello, there! I’m going to Africa soon! Let me describe my “African safari” checklist to you.

My checklist includes five important aspects. The first, and most important one, is Vaccination and immunization. The Kenyan Government says I can’t enter the country without proof that I got a vaccine against the yellow fever. I also need to check that I have all the common vaccines (the ones you usually get as a child). For that reason, I have to visit the doctor to check my record and plan a vaccination schedule (in case I need it) at least three months before my departure.

The second point on my list is the arrival. The hotel is not close to the airport so I need to arrange a meet-and-greet service. The people from the hotel can pick me up at The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. I have to speak with them soon to let them know about my time of arrival and flight number.

In addition, I need to make sure I have the appropriate clothing for Africa. Kenya is a tropical country so days are hot and there is a lot of humidity. For that reason, I need to buy several T-shirts and shorts for the hot weather. There are quite a lot of mosquitos in Kenya too. I need to get a mosquito net and an insect repellent to take with me at all times.

The fourth point on my list is money. The official currency in Kenya is the Kenya Shilling. Although there are several ATMs in the country now, I need to make sure I have enough cash with me in case I don’t find one. To exchange money, it is good to have dollars or euros so I need to buy some before my trip. I can pay for the hotel and buy souvenirs with a credit card so I have to call my bank to authorize the use of my credits cards in Kenya. An extra task is to find out about the Shilling: its coin and bill denominations and to familiarize with them.

Finally, there is one important thing to consider. That is the contact with animals during the Safari. I cannot interfere with their natural behavior. It can be very dangerous. Also, I have to consult my guide before getting out of the vehicles. There are usually lots of wild animals around and it is better to prevent attacks.

My name is Diego Torres and this is my family.In this picture we were at the beach in San Andres, where the weather was always very warm and sunny, and we had lots of fun, so I cannot complain.

In this picture All my family were barefoot.We took off their shoes in the beach because you was felt the sand on your feet and it was very relaxing.

I was wearing a brown shorts and a white t-shirt, and a sunglasses.

The woman is my wife, Daniela.She was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, and a hat of many colors.

The boy is my son, Juan Camilo.He was wearing a brown shorts and a red t-shirt.

The little girl is my daughter Diana, she was wearing a pink dress, and a long brown hair.

My favorite vacation was in 2015. I went to San Andres.

I traveled by plane. It was a good flight.

We stayed in a hotel where we were treated really well and started to enjoy.

I spent some days in an exotic beach Johnny Cay near San Andres.I went to many places in Johnny Cay.

Many tourists visited Johnny Cay, and they knew and saw the island, and the light blue of the sea and white sand.

I played with my little son in the sand. We made many sand castles with the help of my wife and we even made a competition which one was better.And as always my son was angry because he could not built the castle.

We met nice people of the island, and we bought and ate delicious sea food in the restaurants of the island.I wanted to eat a shrimp cocktail and I loved it.We ate a lot of fish and seafood, the seafood was delicious but something that I didn´t like was coconut milk, it wasn´t tasty, my wife said that it is amazing and delicious but I didn´t like it.

It was fantastic. I practiced scuba diving, I swam in the ocean with my wife and children, and we saw a starfish and many snails and

crabs.

The hottest days we went into the sea and we swam to get tired, of course I did it carefully.My wife always took care of our children and warned us of any danger.

We went to a nightclub called the cave and then traveled around the island.

This vacation needed them to forget the problems and stressed of daily routine in the work.It was a perfect beach day.

With my wife went shopping in a very large store.We bought souvenirs, clothing, objects, ornaments and we became fully loaded with things at the hotel.

My vacation was fantastic because I rested a lot, I met new friends and I knew beautiful places.

Obviously, all this time we took pictures, which after I edited on the computer and put them effects, so that they look more beautiful.Then, my wife made a scrapbook with them.

In conclusion I can say that i had a wonderful time with my family, I enjoy the time and the moments that I spend in that awesome beach, I hope that one day we will be back there!.

Fue fantástico. Practicaba submarinismo, nadé en el océano con mi esposa e hijos, y vi una estrella de mar y muchos caracoles y cangrejos.

Los días más calurosos que entraron en el mar y nadaron a cansarse, por supuesto que lo hice con cuidado.Mi esposa siempre se encargó de nuestros hijos y nos advirtió de cualquier peligro.

Fuimos a un club nocturno llamado la cueva y luego viajamos alrededor de la isla.

Estas vacaciones los necesitaba para olvidar los problemas e hizo hincapié en la rutina diaria en el trabajo.Fue un día de playa perfecto.

Con mi esposa fuimos de compras en una tienda muy grande.Compramos recuerdos, ropa, objetos, adornos y nos convertimos en plena carga con las cosas en el hotel.

Mi viaje fue fantástico porque descansé mucho, me encontré con nuevos amigos y supe lugares hermosos.

Obviamente, todo este tiempo nos tomó fotos, que después de editar en la computadora y los pusieron efectos, por lo que se ven más bella.Entonces, mi esposa hizo un libro de recuerdos con ellos.

En conclusión puedo decir que he tenido un tiempo maravilloso con mi familia, me gusta el tiempo y los momentos que pasan en esa playa impresionante, espero que algún día vamos a volver allí !.
