BloggerThis is Blogger. I used this site to post all my work and research that I had made during the production process of our music video. This was very useful as I could upload information in many different forms including pictures, video and presentations. I think that I used blogger much more effectively this year and that I have posted a lot more and made it look more professional. I also downloaded the blogger app on my iPhone meaning that I could make posts and check my blog on the go without having to go onto a computer.

ScribdThis is Scribd. I used this site to upload word and powerpoint documents which I could then share onto my blog. This was useful for when I created the music video and album cover analysis at the beginning of the course. I also used it to upload documents like my shooting schedule and my risk assessment.

Microsoft PowerPointThis is Microsoft PowerPoint. I used this program to create the analysis for my music videos, album covers and magazine adverts. Took screenshots from the video and put text boxes to explain the analysis that I had made. For the digipak and magazine advert analysis I used text boxes around the picture to show the different meanings that were in the picture.

PhotoshopThis is Photoshop. We used this to create the album cover and magazine advertisement for our song. I was able to put layers on top of eachother and change the colouring of the picture to make it look more visually pleasing. This was a gradual process and towards the beginning I had to learn how to use the it and how it worked.

Photoshop effectsIn photoshop we spent some time looking the ways different filters changed the look of our digipack cover. The two on the left are drafts we made using other effects. Eventually we found a good one. We used this effect because it blurred out the details of the picture including the artists face. This meant that I conveyed the meaning of the title of the song ‘Lost and not found’. It makes it look very mysterious and is a good looking effect.

YoutubeThis is Youtube. We used this site to upload any videos we had made involving production, testing out shots or research with audience that we did. We uploaded all the videos here first before embedding them onto the blog. We did the same with the rough and final versions of our music video. This was really useful for showing various stages of the production process through videos.

Editing softwareThis is Movie Studio Platinum. This is the software that we used to edit our music video. I learnt to edit, cut and crop shots using the programme. We had not used this software before and so had to learn how to use it to begin with by playing around with clips and seeing what everything did. After a bit we managed to figure out what everything did were able to edit our music video.

CamerasFor the music video we used this camera because it is small and can be used to get some dynamic shots. With the monopod which is handheld we were Able to capture facial shots which would show the characters expressions and emotions.

For the location shots and audience research videos we filmed usingMy iPhone 4s. We did this because it has a good quality camera andIs easy to hold and film with.
