Definition of pollution

Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into a natural environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the ecosystem .

Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy such as noise, heat or light.

Water pollution

Types of pollution

Page 11: Enviremental Pollution

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater).

Water pollution occurs when pollutants are directly or indirectly discharged into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds

How to prevent noise pollutionThe government should

ensure the new machines are noise proof.

Airports should be away from residential areas.

‘No horn’ boards should be put on/near school areas.

We should talk less and work more.

Ways To Stop Pollution

We believe that it is the responsible thing to do to increase recycling.

It is just like doing laundry and separating blacks and colors.

The residents of the country should also try and do their part and put in at least one day of litter picking up.
