We use present continuous

• To talk about something that is happening at or close to the time of speaking

The present continuous is:

• I am (not) - ing I am working• He Chris is writing a letter• She (not) - ing She is not eating• It the phone is ringing• We (not) – ing we are having dinner• You (not) – ing you are listening to me • They (not) – ing the children are doing

their homework
