A day in my life
Hi. My name’s Alexander Caicedo, but some friends call me “Alex”. I am a Colombian boy and I
live in Norwalk, near to New York.
I live with my aunt Shelly and my two cousins in a small house. They are American. I study at
Kennedy High School, in Norwalk.
I get up very early – at five o’clock, my aunt at four forty five. I pray for six minutes, I brush my
teeth, and then I take a shower for five minutes. I have breakfast. I have omelet with cheese and
ham, bread, and a cup of hot cocoa. My cousins only have cereal and milk. My aunt has breakfast
with us. She has cereal, milk and some of fruit. We leave home at six ten. She goes to her office
by car; my cousins go to study by bike. I go to school by bus. It takes thirty-five minutes. I start
classes at seven o´clock. I am in tenth class. I have lunch at twelve at school. I finish school at
three o’clock every day. Then, I take the school bus to my house. I arrive home at three fifty. Then
I take a nap for 40 minutes. I play Wii with my two cousins Joseph and Sebastian for one hour.
Then, I do all my homework. I have dinner at seven o´clock; I have French potatoes, steak, and
some lemonade. I brush my teeth. I watch the news with my aunt Shelly. Then, I pray for six
minutes and, finally, I go to bed so happy for a great day in my life.

What is environment?
How does it affect me?
Taken from: http://www.immune-health-solutions-for-you.com/what-is-environment.html
Very simply, it is everything on the earth that surrounds us,
whether it be living or not. It is an intelligently designed gift to the
human family for sustaining life on the beautiful planet we call
Earth.
Water is plentiful in our environment, and it takes many different
forms we are familiar with. Usually when water is mentioned , it
is usually referring to either our landscape, our weather, or
something that we drink to stay alive. But either way, it is the
same H2O that does it all!
For example, think of the different pictures these forms of water in our environment bring to mind
in it's three states of solid, liquid, and gas:steam, geysers, clouds, puddles, pools, waterfalls,
fountains, ponds, lakes, streams, rivers, bays, seas, and oceans. Think of glaciers, ice caps, and
snowflakes. What is environment as it relates to water? Think of water in these ways as they
relate to what is environment and weather - that is, water coming through the atmosphere towards
the earth in a way that affects us : snow, hail, ice, sleet, torrents, and floods. No doubt you can
come up with a few that I forgot!
All are various ways of looking at water, which is the most plentiful, varied, and necessary
substance in our environment. What is environment as it relates to water? Much depends on the
context and temperature of the water!
There is another way of looking at these components as they relate to our health. We are living
in the environment and as a result it affects our health. The elements of knowing what is
environment as it relates to our health are our food, air, and water.
