Poster Analysis

On every poster for a film there is always a billing box where they say the main actors in the film and also the director and the main

people who contributed to the making of the film.

There isn't usually a billing box for the music on a poster for a film but this film in particular is based inside a record store so there is a lot more music in this film so they had to give

credits to the right people for that.

A tag line is a classic convention for a poster as it gives the audience a taster of what the film will be about and make them want to see the film. From reading

this tag line i can see that they are a independent record store and the film will be about them and the struggles

they face with that.

Here they have the title of the film but unlike normal film posters they also have a tag line with this title and they say what they would on the stores

sign so that also gives you an idea that the film is about a store.

Their poses and stances tell a lot about the individual characters in

the film and how they will be portrayed. For example you can tell

who is the main character is and you can obviously tells what kind of

person the girl on the far right is supposed to be like.

It is very stereotypical in films that there is a pet or

a similar sidekick and sometimes they feature on the poster if they are important enough in the film.
