Do you know Elliptical word?
The elliptical word is an English pattern that is used to approve someone’s idea. It might be called positive or negative agreement. Because it can be in positive or negative pattern.
“Too or So” are common words used in positivePattern, while “neither or either” are used in negative pattern.
Too & So in Positive pattern
With auxiliary (is/am/are/was/were)
•I am very happy and he is too positive agreement
• I am very active and so is he
•They were late and you were too•She was a student and so were you•The lecture was handsome and he was too •The man was a bodyguard and so was he
With the verbs (do/does/did/has/have)
•We go to eat lunch and you do too •She goes to eat lunch and so do you•You study English and the girl does too •The students learn English and so does
the girl•Tom worked until night and you ………too •The man has a new helmet and I
………..too •Jian and Lee have a story and so

With modal auxiliary (can/will/should)

Either & neither in negative pattern
With auxiliary (is/am/are/was/were)

• I am not very active and neither is he

wasn’t either •The man wasn’t a bodyguard and neither
