DuPont 2020 Sustainability Goals

Sustainable Innovation Goal

11

We will further embed sustainability in our innovation process and

challenge all products in our pipeline to contribute to a safer, healthier,

more sustainable world. We will track our progress and measure and

report the quantifiable safety, health, and sustainability benefits from

major growth innovations.

Opening of DuPont Cellulosic Ethanol Plant in Nevada, USA

13

• The world’s largest cellulosic

ethanol plant, with the capacity to

produce 30 million gallons per

year of clean fuel

• It offers 90% reduction in

greenhouse gas emissions as

compared to gasoline.

• The raw material used to

produce the ethanol is corn

stover – the stalks, leaves and

cobs left in a field after harvest.
