Creative intentClient requirement
By Amy, Richard, Laurren & Taynie
Creative intent
• The photographers has full control over the content he/she creates.
• As it is your own work, you may be overly critical.
• You have to come up with creative ideas which can be quite difficult for some people.
• The image below shows the creativity that comes when you are not working for a client.
• Would typically need more money to do something creative but usually you will have less money compared to a client required job.
Client requirement • The photographer has to follow what the
client has asked for e.g. product like anti-wrinkle cream (shown below).
• You have to follow strict guidelines which usually takes all of the creativity out of the work. E.g. colour. Asda = green.
• You’d know what to do straight away.
• You have to refer back to the client often, which can be time consuming.
• This image below doesn’t show creativity as it is client based work, there is nothing particularly different compared to other advertising images.
• There are strict rules to follow with advertising client based work e.g. the ASA.
