Objectives:
* The exercise may serve as an ice breaking or warm-up activity,
• to introduce or/and practice English terminology in the field of science during bilingual lessons of maths
INSTRUCTION• The teacher prepares domino sets, cutting the
template into double pieces and mixes them. The number of sets equals the number of groups (sets are in different colours)
• The teacher divides the class into groups of 4 or 5 (distributing various geometrical figures in different colours)
• Each group arranges the domino set matching the definitions to the suitable terminology
After all the definitions have been matched students can turn the domino cards and read
the message, e.g.
