The Future Society’s 2nd Annual Globe Awards Dinner again a smash hit. Dominic Carter keynote Speaker. The highly anticipated Future Society’s 2nd Annual Globe Awards gala held Friday night, September 19, at the luxurious Davenport Country Club in New Rochelle, NY, was a resounding smash hit. Last year’s inaugural gala impressed many, and many of those who attended last year’s event were part of this year’s large gathering of over 200 guests. The yearly gala is growing in popularity and gets better every year. Why are so many people supporting The Future Society, Inc., led by its founder and CEO, Larry Fair? A lot has to do with the fact that it is an organization specializing in youth leadership development. Fair and his staff provide mentoring activities for at risk inner city youth and support mechanism for their parents. “Our focus is on developing trusting relationships between young people, their peers and adults, that will lead to youth leadership development,” emphasizes Fair. The September 19 gala can only be described as impressive. There was a long list of dignitaries, elected officials, and supporters that traveled from the entire tri-state area and other states, all dressed impeccably, to attend a worthy gala that is benefitting many youth. The gala’s Mistress of Ceremonies was Shonda C. Nesbitt, who has been with the Future Society since 2008, and has risen to the rank of Executive Director. The program kicked off with a video presentation highlighting scenes from Future Society’s community events.
