Move to China in 2007 enabled me to study students’
searching in their second language
Therefore, finding out how students’ search for academic
sources online is good for my own teaching but for research
too

The pilot project and ended in 2010 as a result of a lack of
resources
In order to carry out a research project of this magnitude a
dedicated space is needed where students can log in and do the
tasks themselves without taking up too much of the researcher’s
time.
I am open to re-activating this research project not only in UNNC’s
digital media lab but on other Nottingham campuses too
