Difference Between JEE Main and JEE Advanced The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is a milestone that engineering aspirants need to cross if they wish to get admission into one of the elite IITs. Cracking the JEE Main and JEE Advanced in India has become challenging over time with the increasing competition. Many government-funded institutions including NITs and IITs organize the JEE Main whereas the JEE Advanced is organized only by IITs. Therefore, a student can clearly understand that appearing for the JEE Advanced is extremely essential for admission into any of the technical courses offered at IITs. Both the JEE-Main and Advanced is inter-connected with each other. However, the JEE Main and JEE Advanced difference cannot be ignored. Results in JEE Main decide which students can take admission in the 4 year course for science and engineering degrees in institutes such as NITs along with national level colleges of the country. Candidates clearing the main exam are entitled to appear for the advanced exam. Furthermore, candidates successful at the Advanced level can get admitted into the first semester degree programs of IITs.
