The TOEFL is a test that non-native English speakers must take to apply to many colleges and universities in the United States. The TOEFL measures a student's ability to use and understand English at the college level. It tests your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills by applying them to academic tasks.

The TOEFL is available in two forms: iBT and PBT. The iBT is administered on the internet to those available with access. The PBT is a paper-based test for those who do not have access to the internet.
