DERMATOPATHOLOGY UPDATEThis is a very intensive course aimed at practicing pathologists, dermatopathologists, and dermatologists. Its goal is to provide an in-depth review and update on new advances in dermatopathology and new techniques such as immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology to the extent that they bear on establishing the correct diagnosis. The program features conventional didactic lectures with frequent discussion periods and interactive sessions with faculty. A library of interesting cases will be available for the participants to review independently at the microscope throughout the course. There will be a online posting of cases prior to the program for early viewing. Each participant will receive a comprehensive course syllabus and a flash drive containing discussed cases at the Saturday afternoon Case Presentation. LEARninG OBJECTiVESUpon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Apply clinical pathologic correlation is evaluating inflammatory dermatoses• Evaluate new criteria for pathologic diagnoses in the areas covered.• Apply modern staging systems for tumors discussed to clinical practice.• Improve thresholds for diagnoses of malignancy as opposed to non-neoplastic mimics of malignancy.

TARGET AUDiEnCEThe target audience is practicing dermatopathologists, dermatologists, and pathologists whether in community practice or academic practice in the US or international locations. Residents in training and fellows will also find the course of educational value.
