I need you to get 23. Where should you aim?
I need you to get 52. Where should you aim?
The smallest total that can be made with 1 dart is 1.
The largest total that can be made with 1 dart is 60.
Work out which scores between 1 and 60 cannot be scored with 1 dart
Discuss with your partner what strategy you are going to follow to work this out. What will you need?
Tip – present your work as systematically as you can.
Think about working it out in a logical order.
In Pairs
Write down how you would make these totals in a 3 dart finish
Use the notation D for double and T for triple

A score of 10 can be made with lots of different 3 dart finishes.
Work out all the different 3 dart finishes (ending on a double for 2nd level) that would make a score of 10.
Tip – present your work as systematically as you can.
Think about working it out in a logical order.

Some scores, such as 180 only have 1 three-dart finish.
Other scores, like 105, have lots of three dart finishes.
Which score between 4 and 180 has the greatest number of different three dart finishes?
