New programs at Curtin
Singapore Commencing in the March 2013 intake, we
are launching some exciting new
programs.
Master of Science (Project Management)
Targeting those with an undergraduate
degree in any discipline plus professional
work experience, in this postgraduate
degree focusses on all aspects of an
exciting career in project management.
Duration—one year (three trimesters).
Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication)
Focusing on journalism, public relations,
film and television, this popular Curtin
University degree is now available in
Singapore for the first time.
Duration—two years (six trimesters).
Diploma of Arts and Creative
Industries
This is a Curtin College pathway for
students seeking education and a career
in the mass communication field and
leads direct y to 2nd year of the Bachelor
of Arts (Mass Communication) .
Duration—eight months (two trimesters).
New Director of Marketing and Admissions
As some of you may already know, a new staff member joined our Marketing and Admissions team in August. Simon Phillips joins us with 13 year industry experience and most recently as the Director of Marketing at the Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT). Effective from 1 December 2012,
Curtin University are introducing
new English language entry
criteria
For the Trimester 2, 2013 intake, the
minimum English language entry
requirement for Bachelor degree courses
will be an IELTS minimum overall score of
6.5, with no sub-band lower than 6.0. This
is in line with what most Australian
universities are doing and encouraged to
do.
As always, check our website for more
details and latest information.
New tuition fee structure for 2013
Whilst some degree programs have seen
no increase, other programs will have a
tuition fee rise no more than 5% compared
with 2012 fee.
Students with a current Letter of Offer may
accept before 31 December 2012 and avail
to the 2012 fee. Otherwise, from 1 January
2013, all Letter of Offer will be revised to
reflect the 2013 tuition fee.
As such, we ask you to send applications
for 2013 now and encourage you students
to accept before the end of the year to
secure the 2012 fee.
Nov semester orientation—
The Mad Race! To help our new international stu-
dents familiarise themselves with
Singapore transportation and iconic
landmarks, we organised a ‘Mad
Race ‘ in which students compete in
teams and travel to various popular
student hangouts. The winning
team members (featured above)
each won an iPod! Shuffle
