With the latest logo Virgin Media has managed to reflect the company’s British heritage.

This image represents the company brand identity of Virgin Media (The merged company of NTL, Telewest & Virgin Mobile).

Virgin Media reveals their new British logo incorporating the Union Flag to symbolically remind people about all the fantastic things about United Kingdom.

While Britain is hosting the Olympic Games 2012, Virgin Media has shown their pride & excitement about what it means to be British.

Celebrity Endorsement – Usain St. Leo Bolt Virgin Media has signed up Usain Bolt for a new advertising campaign that features the world's fastest man mimicking Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson.

The Jamaican sprinter and Olympic gold medallist promotes Virgin Media's £110m network expansion plan, which involves the firm increasing its headline broadband speed to 120Mbps.

Virgin Media have made a very intelligent marketing move here by comparing Usain Bolt’s unrivalled speed with their broadband in the year of the London 2012 Olympics. In the process they have successfully managed to avoid the old fashioned predictable sportsman endorsement.

“Keep Up”

At the end of Virgin’s latest TV advert Usain Bolt (Posed as Richard Branson) is told that his spaceship is ready for take off, then he puts on his space helmet and says to “Keep Up” with Virgin Media.

Here Virgin Media is inviting its customers to speed up their broadband in this fast forwarding world of technology.

The living embodiment of speed Usain Bolt is pretending to be Branson on Twitter @I_am_R_Branson.

He has begun activity on the social network offering chance to win a signed Bolt t-shirt.

With this hilarious internet promotion Virgin Media has managed to keep customer attention online as well.

Current Broadband Market Competitions

The independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries OFCOM has rated Virgin Broad as the fastest in broadband market.

The 50Mb package of Virgin alone has proven to be 7 times faster than UK average speed while their closest competitor BT is 5 times faster than UK average.

On top of that Virgin has introduced their newest addition of 100Mb package, which will allow its user the ability to download a 1GB movie in 1.5 minutes.
