In bodies features in superhero movie, there will be subjects mentioned such as relationship between power and justice. People are always looking forward to their favorite movie hero, even set them as their role model. The world is full of options for people to choose who is to be their favorite superhero. In my opinion, currently Batman and Spiderman are the popular ones among the superheroes as people are more likely to choose them as their favorites. The storyline of Batman dark knight trilogy are expressed in an unpredictable way by its twisted plots and indirect meanings lies within the movie, which needed to interpret deeply to fully understand the content. Hence it is suitable for matured minded teenagers and adults to watch. On the other hand, Spiderman’s trilogy is a more straight forward movie, which can be suitable for kids. Therefore, both Batman and Spiderman movies are different. The purpose of this essay is to contrast the background, fighting ability, reason to bring justice, relationship, costume design and the ending part of the two superheroes.

Firstly I am going to discuss about the background and personality of the two superheroes. As we know, Bruce Wayne is the man behind the mask of batman and Peter Parker is Spiderman. Both of them are living in a different lifestyle. Bruce Wayne is a billionaire and the CEO of Wayne Enterprise, one of the most successful corporations in the world. Meanwhile, Peter Parker is a poor teenager, who stays in a small house with his uncle and aunty with simple life. As a result, Bruce Wayne develop a personality who is more active, as he is always being under media attention and public would perceived him as a billionaire playboy because he is handsome and famous. The personality of Peter Parker is passive makes him a shy person and barely qualified by the upper society based on his average wage job. During his high school life, he was a victim of bullying.

Secondly, the design of the Batman and Spiderman costume is amazing. The Batman suit is made out of high quality of cloth which attach with body armor and cape, made him capable to fly or travel from the roof of the building to another. His cowl is made up of metal as a mask to cover up his face equipped with night-vision, allows him to moves freely in a dark surrounding. In addition, his utility belt is very important tool to his costume because it has a lot of equipments like gas pellets, smoke pellets, lock pick and so on. The color of batman costume is dull in color which is black and grey while Spiderman costume is bright color which is red and blue. Spiderman’s costume looks simple by judging it from the surface but it is actually not a simple design. The web design suit is actually made up of steel wire, attached with his cloth, trousers and boots and it is always held together to increasing its mobility.

Furthermore, Batman’s basic fighting ability is his superb martial-art. His advanced fighting ability is equipped with man-made high technology fighting equipment like Batarangs which is a throwing weapon, Grapple gun, Bolas and gas pellets. The most eye-catching among his equipments is his transformer car. The transformer car is the bullet proof car, it even proofs away explosion of the RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher). The transformer car can transforms into Jet fighter or Motorbike. Spiderman gains his special ability after he was bitten by a radioactive spider, allows him to jump twice higher than an athletic. Besides, he has spider sense to sense him danger in a few split seconds and his ultimate ability is spraying out sticky

webs, makes him to travel to the his destination faster and the webs serve offensive and defensive purpose during combat.

The reasons why Bruce Wayne decided to become batman because he wants to bring peace to Gotham City and prevent corruption in the city. When he was a child, his parent was murdered because of corruption. This incident gave him the strength to be a superhero to save the city from crime and guide the police force to handle sorts of crime activity. Meanwhile, Peter Parker turns himself into Spiderman because of the incident of his uncle was killed by robber, hence inspired him to be a superhero and save the city from crime. The enemies of batman is more mentally challenging for example his worse foe, Joker who introduce chaos into Gotham city by using his wicked schemes and his ultimate purpose is to show the world how madness can affect a good person and turns him into a bad guy, for example, Harvey Dent who is a district attorney initially. On the other hand, Spiderman’s enemies requires more physical combat for example Doctor Octopus who is a scientist who wanted to prove that his new technology, eventually leads him harming a lot of people after an public experiment went wrong. However, Spiderman try to stop him and there involves a lot of physical combats. Finally, Batman and Spiderman both have a different ending. In the end of the movie, Bruce Wayne retired from Wayne enterprise and no longer be batman. However he passed his gadget to a police named Blake, who has fulfilled to be his heir of Batman. On the other hand, Peter Parker finally moved on by letting go his anger and accepts the resentment of his uncle death, and he continue to be Spiderman, as he is supported by his girlfriend Marry Jane.

In conclusion, both Batman and Spiderman movie has a good ending but twisted in a different way. In my opinion, I feel that it is a waste when Bruce Wayne decided to retire. Finally it doesn’t matter how a person choose their favorite superhero as long it brings enjoyment. I prefer Batman more than Spiderman.
