Context Statement

We have decided that one of our two shows will be aired as an in-store radio station in the popular toy store ‘The Disney Store’. This show will be 1 hour long and will be aired during the busiest shopping peak on a Saturday.

The target audience that our radio station will be aiming at will vary from young children to parents/family members/guardians who shop in the store. Although both boys and girls are the target for this store, it mainly sells girls toys and accessories. This means that depending on which toys are most popular it will help us evaluate which songs to play as all items sold in store are themed from a certain Disney film or programme.

The demographic profiling of the target audience is C1 downwards, as many of the toys are sold at reasonable prices and Disney itself is loved by everyone. The overall purpose of the show is to promote the Disney Store.
