Context statement: Commercial radio

Our show is based with a variety of music for all audience. It is a commercial show and will be aired at 5-6pm (one hour) on a Friday. This means that it is a drive time show. It would be aired on a local station. Because this is aired in the late afternoon, this means that the audience will be getting ready to go out or will be stuck in traffic after a long day at work, therefor deciding to tune in and have a listen.

The target audience for our show is 18 and over, both boys and girls, the audience is only 18 and over because of the fact there is content within which isn’t acceptable for a younger audience.

The demographic profiling of the target audience is C1/C2 because we speak about adult topics and it is most likely that working class people are going to be listening. Our show would be for entertainment purposes only.
