Celebrations in the UK …

… and celebrations at school!

In June, our Recycling Team went on a special visit…

They learned about one way of dealing with rubbish in Greater Manchester – burning it!

They found out that energy is created from burning the rubbish

Enough energy is produced to heat 7,000 houses in the area

There is a lot to see on the site

They finished the day by learning all about recycling through games and activities

London Olympics/Paralympics 2012

Woodheys ‘Olympics 2012’!One of the Olympic Torch relay runners brought her torch in for us to see and hold!

We had our own ‘Olympics’ Sports Day

There were ordinary races…

… and lots of fun races like …

… then the Egg and Spoon Race and the Sack Race
