Cloud computing is a construct that allows you to access applications that actually resides at a location other than your computer or other internet connected device.

Cloud History

• Cloud dates back as far as the 1950s.• Next major event in cloud computing history occurred in

1969, when J.C.R. Licklider developed ARPANET.• Professor Ramnath Chellappa was the first to use the

term "cloud computing" in 1997.• In 1999, Salesforce became the first site to deliver

applications and software over the Internet.

Cloud

cloud is not a physical thing. The cloud is a network of servers, and each server has a different function. Some servers use computing power to run applications or "deliver a service."

Types of Cloud

Public Cloud – Can be accessed by any subscriber. Private Cloud – Established for specific group or organization.Community Cloud – Shared among two or more organizations have similar cloud requirement.Hybrid Cloud – Combination of two or more clouds (public, private or community).

Thin clients are becoming an increasingly popular solution because of their price and effect on the environment.Benefit of Thin Client:-
