Perseus Perseus was the son of Zeus and Danae, who by her very name, was the archetype of all the Danaans. She was the only child of Acrisius, King of Argos. Disappointed by his lack of luck in having a son, Acrisius consulted the oracle at Delphi, who warned him that he would one day be killed by his daughter's son.

"My father was killed by a god. My mother, sister, everyone I loved was killed by a god."

"You are specks of dust beneath our fingernails. You have insulted powers beyond your comprehension."

Hades Hades began planning to kill Zeus and usurp control of the world from him. Hades threatned the mortals that he will unleash the Kraken on Argos unless Andromeda is sacrificed to it. With that being said, Hades used his powers to age queen Cassiopeia to death and revealed to Kepheus that Perseus is the son of Zeus before returning to the Underworld.

"I created them, and they reward my love with defiance?"

Zeus is the Greek God of Heaven. He is the ruler of Mount Olympus and the Gods, after the defeat of his father, Kronos. He has two brothers, Hades and Poseidon, and is the father of Perseus, the main hero of the story. He originally was the second strongest of the Gods, until he made Humans love him and hate Hades so Zeus could grow stronger.

Danae is a major character of Clash of the Titans. She was portrayed by Vida Taylor in the 1981 film and by Tine Stapelfeldt in the 2010 remake.

In Greek mythology, Danae was a daughter of King Acrisiusof Argos and Eurydice (no relation to Orpheus' Eurydice). She was the mother of Perseus by Zeus. She was sometimes credited with founding the city of Ardea in Latium.

Acrisius was once the king of Argos that defied the Gods and lay a siege on Olympus, rallying his armies, Zeus decided to make of Acrisius an example to all humanity by becoming the king himself and making love to his wife and queen, breeding a son. Acrisius, being overwhelmed cursed Zeus by trying to throw his wife and the child in her to the sea, but a lighting strikes him deforming half of his face and half of his body, transforming him into Calibos.

"I've watched you all your life. I guided you to your family."

When Perseus is imprisoned by Draco, he meets Io who tells him of his origin. Many years before, King Acrisius waged war against the gods, as a result of the Gods' ignorance and constant punishment of the people. To punish him, Zeus impersonated Acrisius and impregnated his wife, Queen Danae. As a result, Danae gives birth to Zeus' son, Perseus.

"Have you seen what's happening out there? Have you even bothered to look?"

Andromeda was the daughter of Kepheus and Cassiopeia, king and queen of the kingdom Ethiopia. Her mother Cassiopeia boasted that she was more beautiful than the Nereids, the nymph-daughters of the sea god Nereus and often seen accompanying Poseidon

"The gods need us. They need our worship. What do we need of them?"

Cassiopeia Cassiopeia was present with King Kepheus and Andromeda when their armies returned upon tearing down Zeus' statue and Perseus was brought to them. When Cassiopeia boasted that Andromeda was more beautiful than Aphrodite, Hades arrived and used his powers to age Cassiopeia to near-death.

Draco Draco and the Argive Legion set out on a mission to kill the Kraken. Draco gives Perseus his first battle lesson although Perseus disarms him.

"When I spit in the eyes of the gods, then I'll smile."

IXAS

Ixas is a major character of Clash of the Titans. He was portrayed by Hans Matheson in the 2010 remake.

Ixas is one of Draco 's best men and one of the soldiers who accompanied Perseus on his quest to kill the Kraken. He is one of the best archers of the Army of Argos. He survived the battles against Calibos, the Scorpiochs, and the Stygian Witches. He looked at Medusa and was turned to stone by her while trying to shot an arrow to kill her.

EusebiosEusebios is one of Draco 's best men, and one of the soldier's who accompanied Perseus on his quest to kill the Kraken. He is one of the best soldiers of the Army of Argos and is a very skilled hand-to-hand combat.

Athena She was the favored child of Zeus as well as the goddess of wisdom, war, crafts, and battle tactics. Her symbol was the owl. She was a virgin goddess like Artemis and Hestia. She was heavily devoted to keeping her virginity and implored her priestesses to do the same. So when her uncle, Poseidon raped her favorite priestess, Medusa, she was outraged. Not at her uncle for his crime, but at Medusa for losing her "innocence". Athena turned Medusa and her two sisters, Stheno and Euryale, into the Gorgons.

"One day, somebody's gonna have to make a stand, One day, somebody's gonna have to say: enough!"

He is the adoptive father of Perseus. In the myth, Spyros was called Diyctus. He and his wife (whose name was never given) saved Perseus and his mother, Danae, and helped raise him on the Cyclades islands. After Perseus kills King Polydectes, with Medusa's head, Perseus crowns Diyctus king of the Cyclades islands.

"Gentlemen, may our journey be long, filled with agony and torment."

Solon Solon is a veteran of the Legion, and one of Draco's best men and one of the soldiers who accompanied Perseus on his quest to retrieve Medusa's head, kill the Kraken, and save Argos. He is one of the best soldiers of the Army of Argos. He is a very skilled hand-to-hand combat, and he managed to survive the battle with the witches and the Scorpiochs, and made his way to Medusa's Lair. However he felt to his death on the rivers of lava at Medusa's lair, when the latter shot an arrow against Perseus, Sheikh Sulieman and him.

SHIEKH SULIEMAN

Sheikh heals Perseus with his powers while nobody is looking. Sheikh uses blue fire that is created on his stick and gets some fire on his hand and burns perseus. When Solon sees Sheikh he attacks him, thinking he is trying to kill Perseus. Sheikh easily defeats the others and tells them that "the Djinn have waited long for the one who would free them from the gods". Perseus emerges from his tent fully healed.

Ozal & Kucuk

Also known as the traveling brothers, they aided Perseus and the rest of the members of the Argive legion on their quest to kill the Kraken, however they refused to follow Perseus into the Underworld. They built an special shield, forged from the carapace of a dead giant scorpion, and gave the shield to Perseus, before parting ways.

Peshet

"There isn't Time."

Peshet is the personal maid of Andromeda and tries to protect her from the cult of Hades in Argos, in order to prevent the cities' citizens from sacrificing her to the Kraken.

Medusa, in Greek Mythology, was a woman cursed with the hair of asps, golden wings and skin, and whose beauty had the power to transform men into stone statues. She had two sisters, Stheno and Euryale, who are also Gorgons, but unlike Medusa, Stheno and Euryale were immortal.

The Stygian Witches, in Greek Mythology, are three old women, sisters that know almost everything but the future. The Stygian witches are blind and see through a shared mystical eye, which they put near their ocular holes.
