Santa Ponça es troba a 18 km de la capital, Palma

Vos mostrarem un recorregut pel nostre poble com si arribàssim en cotxe.

Pensau que bona part de l'illa viu del turisme. Veureu molts d'hotels i una gran oferta d'activitats (platja, golf, natura...)

En aquest viatge mostrarem també la part històrica, perquè aquí arribà el rei Jaume I a finals de l'estiu de 1.229 duent el cristianisme. Fet que provocà la progressiva expulsió dels musulmans a tota l'illa.

This trip also show the historical part, because King James I came here in late summer of 1229 bringing Christianity. Causing the gradual expulsion of Muslims throughout the island.

When we arrive in Santa Ponsa, the first thing we will find our mill, the sea and many hotels.

There is a tourist attraction and we have a lot of activities like golf, and activities generally

aquatics and Nature.

Història / History

Al setembre de 1.229, el rei Jaume I arribà a les costes de les Balears per conquerir les Illes.

Ho va fer a Santa Ponça i just en aquest punt, trobam la Creu del Desembarc.

Per poder defensar bé l'illa, encara podem veure canons de l'època.

In September 1229, King James I came to the shores of the Balearic Islands to conquer.

He did in Santa Ponsa just at this point, we find the Cross of land.

To defend the island well, we still see cannons of the time.

És una zona molt tranquil·la...i molt animada a la vegada, quan arriben tants de turistes!

A l'hivern passejam, gaudim de les vistes, pescam...i a l'estiu està ple de gent que arriben de tot el món.

Els voltants / The environment

Tenim molt aprop, una de les muntanyes més altes de Mallorca, el Puig de Galatzó, formant un dels cims de la nostra estimada Serra de Tramuntana. Aquí podem trobar el Voltor Negre, una espècie única al món que habita amb noltros.

We have one of the highest mountains of Majorca very near, the Puig de Galatzó, forming the peaks of our beloved Serra de Tramuntana. Here we find the Black Vultures, a species unique in the world living with us.
