How it is celebrated

• The Chinese people have a special dance called ‘The Lion dance’.

• There is beautiful fireworks at night.

• The people in China put on a special show called ‘The CCTV New Year’s Gala’.

• Some stories say that there was a big monster called ‘Year’ that was afraid of red and lots of sound.

• They now wear red and eat a big fish when outside people are doing the ‘Lion dance’.

Why it is celebrated

My opinions

• Chinese New Year is a good celebration for a family dinner and it is good fun for every one. Also some times you get red pockets which have some money and cards.

• I think Chinese New Year is a great celebration.
