Differential centrifugation

• Tissue is cut into pieces and placed in cold isotonic buffer solution.

• Pieces of tissue are ground into very small fragments in a type of liquidiser called as homogeniser.

• The suspension of cell fragments is filtered to remove large pieces of tissue debris

• The filterate is then placed in a centrifuge
