AwarenessA student needs to be aware of what the term social justice

means. Being aware of their place in the world and how they can affect the world around them is a great unit to teach. We need to

allow students to understand how much their actions can do.

Students and teachers need to work together to create a classroom environment in which teachers can actualize the above practices and in which both students and teacher can raise questions, challenges, differences, and problems while conducting political analyses of society.”- Gustein

Every child has the ability to make a change.

We must take a hold of the power we all hold to think differently, to take a step in a different direction.

CurriculumAt first glance it seems as if it’s an educational

setting that spits out facts about different cultures.

After reading, it’s a necessary curriculum to make students aware of injustices in the world so they can

be aware. Awareness is the first step to making a change.
