Let’s analyze it…








We use AS …AS to say that two things are equal or the same(Usamos AS … AS para decir que dos cosas son igual o las mismas)





In this example, we use AS … AS to say that the Mercedes Benz M-Class and the BMW X5 are equally expensive.

(En este ejemplo, usamos AS…AS para decir que el Mercedes Benz M-Class y el BMW X5 son igualmente caros)

Let’s see another example…



Paris (France) is a beautiful city.


Paris (France) is a beautiful city. Prague (Czech Republic) is a beautiful city, too.

Use AS MUCH for non count nouns (TIME is a non count noun)(Se usa AS MUCH para sustantivos no contables (TIME es no contable)


This is Elizabeth Town. Elizabeth town is small. It only has 50 houses.

Use AS FEW for count nouns (HOUSES is a count noun)(Se usa AS FEW para sustantivos contables (HOUSES es contable)



You can also use JUST to emphasize the comparison…(Se puede usar JUST para enfatizar la comparación)

The Mercedes Benz M-Class is JUST as expensive as the BMW X5

Use JUST to emphasize the comparison…the meaning doesn’t change.(Use JUST para enfatizar la comparación…el significado no cambia)


You can also use ALMOST to say two things are very similar, but not exactly the same…(Se puede usar ALMOST (casi) para decir que dos cosas son muy similares, pero no exactamente lo mismo…)
