• There are plenty of illegal immigrants in australia and each day many are sent home. illegal immigrants tend to have a non valid visa. some people who come here dont have a visa at all. Illegal immigrants come from all over the world. what happens to all of the illegal immigrants once they have been found out is they get relocated back to the country they came from.
Melissa // Oct 18th 2008 at 2:30 pm • That is what happens here in the United States aswell. Visas are
really a big part of it because visas take a long time to get, and then people just come illegally. Where are the illegal immigrants that come to Australia from?
Juliet Pham // Oct 18th 2008 at 5:21 pm • How do you feel about the fact that the illegal immigrants are
relocated? Do you believe that it’s fair? I don’t think that it is. I really think that it would depend on the reason. Are the immigrants doing any harm really? That’s pretty interesting that Australia does have illegal immigrants because I never thought a place like Australia would because of the fact that it doesn’t have any countries near it or any land bridges.
Travis Bugge // Oct 18th 2008 at 5:21 pm • how do they get there? are they snuck on a plane or something? fur
us, its pretty much peole crossing the border, or swimming over here. which part of austrailia do they go to?

“What is your favoite holiday and what are some traditions you have?” (74 responses)
My favorite holiday is the 4th of July which is independence day in America. It is when everyone wears red white and blue (the colors on the flag) and we get together with our family. I go to my aun’ts house and hang out with my cousins. We play sports like baseball, basketball and soccer and when we get hot, we jump in the pool. I think that is the most fun because we make the pool full of waves and play games and stuff. We have hot dogs and hamburgers and other picnic foods like potato and macaroni salad. It is so much fun!! The best part is when we lay down a giant blanket on the ground which all the kids sit on and we watch the fireworks light up the sky. They are all so beautiful and its so much fun to sit with my baby cousins and let them laugh everytime the fireworks sound. Sometimes we get bored and liven the party up by throwing icecubes at eachother and putting them down other peoples backs. It is really cold!!
Most chose Christmas• The house smells like evergreen trees. The kitchen smells like ham and
various other foods. There are presents laying under the tree. Can you guess what holiday I am thinking of? Well, of course I am talking about Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I have such great memories at this time of the year. The snow is falling, the heat is blasting making the house all toasty and I am surrounded by the ones I love the most. Some people think that Christmas is all about presents and gifts, but that is not the true reality about Christmas. Christmas is actually about the time you spend with your loved ones. There is nothing like sitting on the couch after a big meal talking with the ones you care the most about. That is what I love about Christmas. Usually there is not a time when everybody in my family can get together, but everybody makes an effort for Christmas. I remember when I was little and all my cousins used to travel hours to spend the Christmas holiday with family. Of course, now that everybody has gotten older it has gotten harder to all meet us, but nevertheless, we still think about each other all the time.
An extra student appears!!What an informative post, thanks for sharing. How nice to see you are
communictaing with another class. Here is my answer:I wouldn’t really do anything because i don’t celebrate Christmas, after all it IS for Christians and i am Muslim. So I don’t celebrate it, but we could buy trees and do Christmasy things too you know, but my family don’t really. Some Muslims like me decorate the house, have fun with friends and play games have BBQ’s too and play in pools, visit relatives, go amazing places like Cool Parks and Luna Park and Harbour Bridge.Yes, so there. But as muslims, we have Eid to celebrate, which is a different celebration for a prophet of ours. We do MANY things listed in what i said a few sentences ago. It is SO FUN!!!! Our traditions are go to a religious muslim tower where we pray called “Jamaii”, hard to pronounce i know. We pray or just say prayers at home for god. And some other traditions go visit relatives and eat Arabic or food from our countries (lebanon for me though!).Alot you have to learn there! Think you’ve learn somethings

everything is now and how full all the dams are. Having seen it all looking parched just a few months ago I fully appreciated the transformation that had taken place

world this would be if everyone did this. And I love the picture of your Maggie and Fergus! Anita Marie• My Backyard is Seattle Washington- and it’s in everything I write.
Nothing has inspired me more. I can see you all feel the same way too.Pretty great, isn’t it?Anita Marie

• our local railway is separated from my house by a road and a field/orchard. After 17 years of living so close my nights are no longer punctuated by the sound of passing trains but on still day I can hear the sound of the road crossing barrier warnings. Far from hating the sound of trains, I think the sound of their passage is comforting
• I am an Australian living in Qatar in the Middle East and was scrolling down the posts and found a picture of a plate of HOME BAKED Anzac biscuits. “What a horrible tease!!!” I began thinking until I scrolled a little further and the recipe was there as well!!! I can TASTE them just by looking at the picture…. and now I can go home and make a batch.
