WHY TECHNOLOGY IS NEEDED FOR FARMERS

technology has helped growers in many areas to reduce costs and improve production.

Without technology, farmers would still need to pick every crop by hand and plow the ground without machinery.

More labor used Less output

CHANGE THROUGH TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION BY FARMERS

Modern technology to enable higher yields and reduced environmental impacts.

These reduce the land, fertilizer and pesticide use per unit of output;

COOLING FACILITIES:

Farmers to deliver tomatoes and other fresh crops to keep them fresh as they transport them to the market use these.

These cooling facilities are in food transportation trucks,

MODERN TRANSPORTATION

This helps in making products available on markets in time from the farm

 USE OF MACHINES ON FARMS.

Now a farmer can cultivate on more than 2 acres of land with less labor.

The use of planters and harvesters makes the process so easy.

GENETICALLY PRODUCED PLANTS

like potatoes, can resist diseases and pests, which rewards the farmer with good yields and saves them time.

These crops grow very fast they produce healthy yields.

IRRIGATION OF PLANTS.

In dry areas like deserts, farmers have embraced technology to irrigate their crops.

A good example is in Egypt, were farmers use water pumps to collect water from river Nile to their crops.

MY OPINION

I think if farmers are provided with training. Awareness of new technology and financial support in the form agricultural credit .

Result as:Agricultural sector can be

improved . Hence GDP will increases .

Efficiency can be availed in agricultural sector.
