THE BMS EDGE• The entire purpose of creating a course like BMS was to

bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical knowledge.

• A student does not have to rely on a post graduate degree to get a job. Colleges like Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies managed to place almost the entire batch(excluding those who on their own accord sat out of placements to join their family business or to start one of their own).

• The average placement is expected to be around 10-12 lakh p.a with the maximum around 20 lakhs.

• The course has an unsaid motto of learning by doing. If you tried to calculate this alebraically.(Taking price as x and then making calculations, you would end up consuming more time than you are allotted)

There is an extremely simple method to solve this:

There is a shortcut formula to combine percentages, it is:

a + b + ab/100

Using this,

20 + (-20) + (20)(-20)/100 = 0 + (-)4 = -4

Thus you could solve this question in less than 15 seconds.
