• Delivery ward –the pregnant cow iskept here for 7 daysbefore giving birth tocalf.

• Pre Delivery ward –the pregnant cowis kept here forone month beforegoing to deliveryward.

• Grower stage -the calf is kepthere for 6months afterits birth.

• Maturity stage –the calf is kepthere for 2 to 3years after itsgrower stage.

• Pregnancy stage –the service bull iskept here with themature cows.

• Milking stage –the lactation periodof cow is about 10months .About 12 to14 months after thebirth of her previouscalf, a cow will calveagain, thus providingmilk.

The milking parlour runs onCIP(cleaning in place)system.12 cows get milked ata time.it takes only 5 minutesto milk a cow. The averagemilk produced by a cow is3.77 litres.

Calf’s weight is checked here after birth

Travis – the cow is kept here for treatment.

Chop cutter – the sugarcane waste is chopped which is used as fodder

Terex machine – the machine rotates 360 degree and is used to lift the waste.

Chillar unit – 1000lit. Milk is chilled in one unit.

Milking and grower stage-

The columns are placed at the interval of 2meters in the shed. An automatic drinking container is placed between two cows. The manjar( where the cattle fodder is kept) is approximately 40cm wide. The walkway is 1.2m wide and the passage between the grower and milking shed is 3meters.The height of the shed is 9meters.
