Examinations Conducted by VTU

VTU abbreviated as Visvesvaraya Technical University grants admission to candidates based

on the scores of CET and COMEDK. Both the examination has the same pattern of

conduction. It is a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) test, the answers to which are to be

marked in an OMR sheet. The syllabus of the test is the same as that of Pre University. The

questions in the test can be solved applying the very basic concepts of Physics, Chemistry

and Mathematics. The examination consists of two papers, one on Physics and Chemistry

and other one is of Mathematics. One hour is allotted for each subject.

After the examination, students are given ranks based on their scores. A separate

counselling is conducted for both CET and COMEDK. The students at the counselling are

made to fill up their course and college preferences. Henceforth, seats are allotted based on

the availability at that particular time. A second round of counselling is also conducted to fill

up the vacant seats and for those who failed to attend the first round. Admission to VTU

College is also given through the management seats.
