Our HeritageSince 1883

Pic of WA Smith and B into boys quote.
Sir William Alexander Smith established the first
Boys’ Brigade unit in 1883 as a way of making
Sabbath School both more attractive to Boys and
Young Men and to give structure to the work. His
model of Bible Teaching amidst physical activity,
camp, and drill to reach Boys for Christ has stood the
test of time.
