Also, black is worn by criminals as it means they dont stand out and can hide easily and so his all black outfit automatically makes the audience see him as a foreboding character and builds tension as they wonder what he's about to do. 

The killer is also wearing gloves - this shows that he is trying be sneaky and not leave any evidence, therefore he is probably doing something he shouldn't be, such as committing a crime. This further presents him as a suspicious character and builds tension in the piece. 

In contrast, the girl is wearing bright colours e.g. purple which makes her seem less suspicious and more innocent to the audience. She doesn't seem as if she is trying to hide.
