• I flew from Chester to Spain.

• I loved being on the plane! I could see lots of things from my window!

• I thought I saw my house in England but it was too small to tell! I just couldn't wait to be in Spain!

We stayed in Madrid for 1 night. It was a very big and busy

city.

The next day we hired a a car and we drove to the our hotel by

the sea.

I couldn’t wait to get to the beach. It was REALLY hot and sunny!

The mountains shelter the beach from chilly winds. This means you can go to the beach all year round.

I met a Spanish boy called Chico. 'Chico' is Spanish for 'boy'. Chico was wearing a special hat called a sombrero. A sombrero shades you from the hot sun.

I saw lots of Spanish food. This made me very hungry!

I went to a restaurant and ordered paella. Paella is a traditional Spanish food.

In Spain, most of the shops shut in the afternoon and the schools have a very long break. This is because everyone has a rest. In Spain they call this 'siesta'.

I am so tired. I need a rest!

In the evening I went into town and saw some Spanish dancers who wore beautiful costumes and played the castanets.

On the last day I went to see a bull fight. The man is called a matador and he calls the bull with a red cloak. It was exciting and a bit scary. I took lots of

photos.
