This means money may be influenced by their parent’s income. The background for the woman watching this film is likely to have parents working in the C1 or C2 level.

RubicamThe primary audience would fit into mainstream according to rubicam’s theory. This is because the audience are young students and unlikely to have a lot of money ruling the others out. This audience could also be reformers as the woman watching this may want to change the representation of women, being one themselves.

There is an additional type of audience who may watch the Descent. This is audience is adventurous and sporty. They would watch this film as they can relate to it because of the extreme sports portrayed in the film. They are likely to be aged 25-35 as this is an appropriate age to be carrying out these types of activities. They may not have a family so they would have disposable income to spend on it.They would probably have a social economic ranking of C1 or C2 because extreme sports are costly so they would have to have a good job in order to be able to carry to these activities.

This audience fits into the Aspirers because they are likely to have a job to pay for their lifestyle. They may also be aspiring to get further in life or their career.They would be Dinky’s because they probably do not have kids yet and have a double income from a spouse.

The secondary audience is the same age, 15-25 but male. This audience would be intrigued to watch a horror movie as well as the all female cast. The sex appeal of the film would have been purposely added for this audience.Their socio economic grade would be the same as primary because of their age. They would be in the E category as they are probably students with part time jobs. Unlike primary their background may be more varied. Parents could have a socio economic rank from C2-E because the sex appeal in the film would appeal to most males.

RubicamThis audience is individual because they are likely to stray away from what most are doing but still are somewhat mainstream.They would also be considered Yuppies because of their age as well as them being agile and mobile. Yuppies may also be starting a career making this age group fit into this category.
