POP GENRE•Pop is a very mainstream genre therefore most people do in fact listen to it. A different matter is whether they choose to; it is often played on the radio and performed on TV so people will find themselves knowing popular songs.•Although many age groups listen to pop music the target market would specify to between 16 to 21

Gender• Girls.• Again, pop is clearly a genre that is widely listened to therefore it is definitely a difficult genre to restrict.

• Looking at artists and their image they attract teenage girls most successfully. Little Mix, for example, a girl group that manage to be aspirational while maintaining relatable traits.

• However, it is not a case of same gender being appealing. Justin Bieber is a very popular pop artist who is most popular with teenage girls.
