Front CoverThis is a cover of a magazine created by a sixthform student at Southend High School for Girls.

• Main image - the 'ideal' sixthform student who is definitely associated with one of the articles inside the magazine.

• Masthead - 'Something New' suggests that the audience, other sixthform pupils, who will buy this magazine can have a fresh start at school if they read this magazine. The word 'Something' is in orange which has connotations with Autumn. The font of 'New' is one that reminds us of high school.

• Date - Autumn is the beginning of the school year and this is the ideal time to publish this magazine as it is very attractive to the target audience.

• Typography - the font used is sans serif which suggest that the articles in the magazines are simple and easy to follow for students.

• Coverlines - the main articles inside the magazine are stated so that the reader can already assume what is inside without even opening any pages.

• Bottom Strip - possible freebies that are included with the magazine which makes the magazine even more attractive and useful for students. Once again, the orange colour scheme is repeated here to relate back to the season of Autumn.

• Website - further information for the audience and they can engage more online.

Contents PageThis is the contents page of the same sixthform magazine made by the same student.• Heading - the same font has been used as on the front cover. This works

very well as the same typography is used throughout.• Introduction -  There is a short introduction that says what the

magazine is about and who it is aimed at. This is very effective as the target audience can be sure that they have brought the right type of magazine foe them.

• Contents - They are clearly listed in chronological order so that the reader can easily follow and find the right pages.

• Colour Scheme - orange once again relates to Autumn and the new school term, whereas the green could represent Southend Girls as well as a fresh start and new idea which are essential in school life.

• Photographs - the characters are happy role model students for the target audience
