National Coalition for the Homeless, June 2009
•20% of homeless youth are LGBT – general population 10%•LGBT homeless youth twice as likely to experience sex abuse at home before the age of 12•58.7% of homeless LGBT have been sexually victimized vs. 33.4% of heterosexual youth•LGBT homeless youth commit suicide at higher rates (62%) than heterosexual homeless youth (29%)
