absorbed Sneha – makes the food soft and slimy Samayoga – brings about daathu samya

USHMA (पचति�)
Is parallel to fire Usma digests indigested food to absorbable
products This is action of agni or pachakagni as far as
digestive system is concerned It conversion of complex food into absorbable
products, factor ushma is directly concerned with food digestion.
VAYU (अपकर्ष�ति�)
Vayu(prana) drags food to proper place where agni actually exists
Not only this but samana vayu also adds to stimulate agni
KLEDA (शैथि�ल्य)
Helps in desintegrating coarse food material into finer particles
Kledhaka kapha soaks all food material whether taken with fluid or dry and makes a fine paste of chewed food in stomach
KALA (पय��प्�)
Time required for digestion and absorption Meaning of word paryapta is till digestion. It is true that ushma is necessary factor and
inevitable one for the digestion Yet only appropriate quantity of usma is not
enough for digestion of food.Allotment of necessary time is required equally
SNEHA (मा�र्द�वमा�)
Makes the food soft and slimy
SAMAYOGA (धा��� सा�म्य)
Brings about dathu samya Samayoga esam is healthy combination of food
itemsBefore cook food should follow asta ahara vishesa vidhi aayathanasWhile taking food should follow ahara vidhi vidhanas.

Food..mouth...mastication..bolus..swallowing(vayu and sneha)…stomach(kleda)…enzymes(usma&samana and udana vata)..chyme…intestines…digestion…absorption…food(ahara rasa)…blood(dathu samya)..remain food…feces(mala)..defecation
