recreational drugs), such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin or
ecstasy, the effect is to alter the functioning of the brain to

What is drug?
There are many reasons why people try drugs. A few of the common reasons
are listed below: • It’s a way to fit in and be social • It’s a way to relax • It’s a
way to escape • They are easy to obtain and appear harmless • Everyone
seems to be doing it • It’s a way to take some risk or be a rebel • It’s a way to

some level of discomfort if the drug is not available, and another drug,
often alcohol, may be substituted. Other indicators of misuse include: •
high levels of conflict with close friends • family or friends are
concerned about the person’s use of drugs • patterns of isolation,
including breaking relationships with those who do not use • irritability,
restlessness or discontentment • unpredictable mood swings • legal
problems • financial problems, including growing debt • job- or school-
related problems, including chronic absenteeism or lateness
When drug use becomes a problem?
Introduction
Water is essential to human existence. Access to water supply is a basic
human right and necessary to ensure a healthy population. Provision of
safe water supply and sanitation directly serves the objectives of public
health by curtailing the spread of vector diseases. The poor are particularly
vulnerable when water is either unclean or in short supply. The urban poor
spend large part of their income on water from private vendors. In rural
areas, fetching water for cooking and drinking, mostly by women,
involves lot of time and distance. Insufficient attention to wastewater
treatment and disposal is causing severe environmental problems.
Effects
The second most important risk factor for poor health is
lack of clean water and poor sanitation and it has major
health impacts. There are many ways by which
Pathogens infect individuals through water causing: water-based diseases,
water-washed diseases, water- borne diseases, water-dispersed infections,
and water- related vector-borne diseases. Infectious diseases include water
born and water washed diseases, cholera, ameobiosis, shigellosis,
salmonelloses are all infectious diseases.
Introduction
• Transport or transportation is the movement of people,
animals and goods from one location to another. Modes of
transport include air, rail, road,
water, cable, pipeline and space. The field can be divided
into infrastructure, vehicles and operations. Transport is
important because it enables trade between people, which is
essential for the development of civilizations.
Transport system
To travel nationwide, most of the citizens prefer railway trains, but from the last few years, there is a drastic drop in the performance of railway trains. In the developed countries, people prefer to travel through trains even they can afford to commute through their own transport, because it is quite comfortable and convenient way of travelling. Road planning should be revised and more highway plans should be implemented. But with all the facilities of transportation, there should be a bicycle or walk day weekly to motivate people to stay active and use good means of transportation.
