It is green and safe. It is far from the city. There are not any shops or noise. Life is cheap and simple. It’s a small village, just 3.000 people live here. Sometimes it is kind of boring, but I like living here. There is no pollution or stress. What about you? Describe the place you were born. Is it a city? Is it a village? Is it a town? What is it like? While you are writing your description remember: 1. Write short sentences! 2. Use the beginnings: It is…, It isn’t…, there is/isn’t…, there are/aren’t…, It has…, It hasn’t got/ It doesn’t have… 3. Use the adjectives we studied in class: big, large, huge, small, empty, crowded, modern, old, traditional, beautiful, great, fantastic, awesome, incredible, ugly, awful, expensive, cheap, dirty, clean, green, surrounded by (nature), quiet, peaceful, stressful, relaxed, noisy, interesting, boring, depressing, polluted, violent, insecure, dangerous, safe, wide (streets), narrow (streets), tall (buildings), etc. 4. Use the word “kind of…(“it is kind of boring”, “It is kind of old-fashioned”, etc) 5. Include the description of the weather in winter and summer.

Obligatory Activity: Describing places!

Read this model description:

Hi! I was born in a very quiet place. It is peaceful and clean. It is green and safe. It is far

from the city. There are not any shops or noise. Life is cheap and simple. It’s a small

village, just 3.000 people live here. Sometimes it is kind of boring, but I like living here.

There is no pollution or stress. What about you? Describe the place you were born. Is it
