It’s almost Halloween but are you ready for the expenses?
Here are some practical ways for you to save your budget this Halloween season.
1. Spend less on costumes• Consider swapping costume with other parents in your child’s school.
• Kids usually don’t want to wear the same costume from last year so by switching outfits, both of you can save your budget.
2. Buy in bulk• Halloween can pass by without candies and treats.
• Buying in bulk is always cheaper and when it comes to Halloween, you can buy candies in large bulks to save money.
• Again, you can get in touch with other parents in your child’s school so you can buy more and enjoy a bigger discount.
3. Buy earlier• It’s far cheaper to buy Halloween decorations right after the season is through.
• Look for items that you can keep and last until the next year.
•If you’re going to wait until the later part of the year, it is most likely that the items will be more expensive.
4. Make your own decorations.• You do not necessarily need to buy decorations to make your home look scary.
• You can search the internet for ideas on how to make crafts for the Halloween.
• Buying art materials is far cheaper than buying readily-made decorations.
5. Plan the Halloween party• If you plan early, you can save a great deal from party expenses such as decorations, food, lights, etc.
• You can even recycle or re-use the same decorations that you used last year.
• Choose dishes that make use of ingredients that are in season and find out the best places to buy food items where you live.
6. Set a definite budget. • Don’t be tempted to spend so much on one Halloween costume or decoration.
• Be practical and always consider your budget for the coming months when the scare-season is over.
